II Tony's New Orleans Style Marinara
Where Sicily meets New Orleans, this New Orleans style marinara is a staple sauce at II Tony's restaurant. It is made with vine ripened Italian style plum tomatoes, Italian herbs and spices along with fresh vegetables and cold-pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
Two Tony's Restaurant was co-founded in 1987 by Tony Montalbano Sr. and Tony Montalbano Jr. Â Tony Jr. grew up in his father's family restaurant located in the New Orleans French Quarter. This is where he cultivated his passion and talent for preparing mouth-watering dishes. The natural progression for the Two Tonys was to open their own restaurant in this neighborhood. After opening Two Tony's Restaurant in 1987, it quickly gained a following of locals and tourists alike. Seven years later; after developing a successful business, the father and son team relocated to an area on Lake Pontchartrain known as Bucktown. It had a handful of restaurants and in 1994, Two Tony's joined the ranks.
